What’s the role?
We are looking to add a new Software Developer to our existing development team. This is an exciting and fulfilling role that will be pivotal in The Student Energy Group’s success. Working hours usually follow a standard office day of eight hours, between 9 am and 5 pm. Flexible working is available.

Responsibilities, Experience & Requirements
*Key responsibilities and required skills:*
* Building PHP applications utilising the latest versions of the Laravel framework.
* Proficient in SQL with a strong understanding of designing, querying and optimising relational databases.
* Developing, documenting and integrating RESTful APIs.
* Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
* Ability to write clean, efficient, and reusable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
* Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Teamwork and cooperation: working cooperatively across departments to achieve shared goals.
* Good time-management.
* Great interpersonal and communication skills.
* Must have the desire to learn, self-reflect, and improve.
*Ideal, but not essential:*
* HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery and AlpineJS
* Amazon AWS (RDS, EC2, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, auto-scaling, and CodeDeploy)
* Terraform
* Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)
* Developing unit tests
Any other roles and responsibilities commensurate with the role at Managers’ request.
*Experience: *
3+ years of commercial experience in a software engineering role using most of the required skills listed above.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
