Customer service/Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional service to customers, managing transactions, and supporting daily operations in a fast-paced café or retail environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with POS systems, food handling, and excellent communication skills to ensure a positive customer experience. Prior barista or food service experience is a plus, along with strong time management and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a professional manner
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Manage food and beverage preparation, ensuring food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed
• Support food service activities including food preparation and serving to customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café or retail space in compliance with health standards
• Handle cash register operations accurately, including basic math calculations for sales and change
• Upsell products and promote sales to enhance customer satisfaction and store revenue
• Ensure efficient time management during busy periods to minimize wait times
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, café, or retail environments preferred, especially with barista or coffee experience
• Priorecp with POS systems such as Micros POS is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
• Experience in serving, cashiering, or food preparation is a plus but not required
