Job Overview: As the Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all engineering activities within the company. You will lead a team of engineers and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure the successful design, development, and implementation of products. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
  • Prioritize projects within the department and allocate staff and resources as necessary
  • Work as the liaison between engineering and all other departments
  • Work with sales to define engineering projects as they relate to new product design and provide estimation on engineering hours required
  • Establish and maintain design standards for the department
  • Manage resources needed to support engineering functions; including researching new technologies to advance the department
  • Document and follow up on internal change order requests
  • Regularly communicate with engineering staff to ensure consistent and accurate completion of tasks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience (3 years) in a leadership role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
  • Experience with CAD software, simulation tools, and other engineering software applications.
