As a Portfolio Analytics & Strategy Specialist within PNC's Balance Sheet Analytics & Modeling organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Wilmington, DE, or Tyson's Corner, VA. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department leads and stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs, translating these into scalable and impactful solutions.
  • Communicate analytical findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve analytics processes, including automation, data delivery, and advanced analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of data used in analytics and reporting, establishing best practices for data governance and validation.
  • Oversee the design, development, and optimization of reporting and dashboard tools using Python, Power BI, Tableau, and/or Looker to enable data-driven decision-making across teams.
  • Drive the creation and refinement of data models in Hadoop, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reusable datasets.
  • Develop and enhance proprietary attribution algorithms and manage integrations with third-party attribution partners to provide accurate insights.
  • Utilize Python and/or AWS Services for building, maintaining, and scaling advanced analytics models and algorithms.
  • Stay updated on the latest tools, technologies, and methodologies to continuously enhance the team's capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Attention to details, ability to create clear, crisp, and actionable insights, proven experience managing analytics teams and delivering actionable insights.
  • Expertise in Python (required) for developing advanced analytics.
  • Working knowledge in Machine learning and statistical modeling using Python/R
  • Hands-on experience with Python/R, Hadoop, Tableau, Power BI, and Looker, designing complex data models and dashboards.
  • Expertise in using pandas, NumPy, seaborn, matplotlib.
  • Strong understanding of attribution modeling, including proprietary algorithm development and third-party attribution tools.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, advanced analytics and statistical modeling using Python/R.
  • Demonstrated ability to align analytics strategies with business goals and stakeholder needs.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex data challenges and find practical solutions.
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to new tools, technologies, and business environments.

Job Description

  • Provides financial and regulatory reporting and analyses to maintain adequate controls over the financial and regulatory reporting processes. Responsible for running complex business performance, risk and operational analytics. May include the development of analytical methods/models to assess market, credit and/or operational risk of new and existing financial products.
  • Leverages business / product expertise to rigorously analyze large datasets, improve risk adjusted returns, deliver profitable growth, and communicate conclusions. Synthesizes analytical results and develops, recommends, and implements business strategies that improve lending decisions, assist in managing risk, increase revenues, reduce exposure to losses, meet business goals, and improve performance. Establishes baselines for strategies and tracks actual performance to expectations.
  • Applies predictive models, third party data, and other tools to develop and execute appropriate segmentation and targeting for acquisition and portfolio strategies to provide insight into portfolio risk. Manages engagements with internal and external information suppliers ensuring solution is fit for purpose while maintaining appropriate governance and oversight.
  • Works with business, credit, data, and model development partners to design, develop, and monitor test designs and analytical reporting to track and enhance strategies. Designs / enhances standard reporting suites for regular product / portfolio reviews.
  • Collaborates with the line of business, Finance, and Risk partners to assess and establish credit risk appetite and to understand its implications, as well as to establish policies and procedures governing the identification, monitoring, and management of risk appetite.

Pay Transparency
Base Salary: $65,000.00 – $169,780.00
