Senior Information Security Engineer

Senior Information Security Engineer
to be the driving force behind our enterprise-wide security strategy. In this role, you'll shape the future of our defenses, mentor rising talent, and ensure that innovation and protection go hand in hand.

You'll be the trusted guardian of our infrastructure, applications, and data, partnering with IT, Engineering, Compliance, and business leaders to anticipate risks, respond to incidents, and design scalable security solutions that empower productivity while meeting regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and implement cutting-edge security controls across networks, endpoints, cloud platforms, and applications.
  • Lead security reviews for new systems, vendors, and initiatives.
  • Evaluate and deploy advanced tools (EDR, SIEM, IAM, DLP, vulnerability management).
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to evolving threats.
  • Lead investigations, containment, remediation, and post-incident reviews.
  • Build and refine incident response playbooks and escalation procedures.
  • Drive vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and remediation programs.
  • Deliver clear, actionable risk assessments to leadership.
  • Track and close security risks with precision.
  • Champion least-privilege access, MFA, and secure identity management.
  • Safeguard sensitive and regulated data with robust protection measures.
  • Enable secure access for remote users, contractors, and partners.
  • Ensure alignment with frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA/HITECH, GDPR, and FedRAMP.
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Compliance on policies and controls.
  • Support audits with evidence collection and remediation tracking.
  • Mentor junior security and IT professionals.
  • Embed security into every process and project across departments.
  • Translate technical risks into business impact for non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive IT/security experience.
  • Hands-on expertise in:

  • Network & endpoint security

  • Cloud security (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud)
  • SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management tools

  • Proven experience leading incident response and investigations.

  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and best practices.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, GIAC, Security+, or similar.
  • Experience in regulated environments or federal contracts.
  • Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with zero trust and modern security architectures.
  • Analytical problem-solver with sharp judgment.
  • Skilled at balancing multiple priorities.
  • Clear communicator with discretion and integrity.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and risk-aware mindset.
