Server/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Experience in food preparation, POS systems, and food safety is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry while ensuring customers have a positive dining experience.

Duties

• Take customer orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
• Prepare and serve food items according to established standards, including basic food preparation and handling
• Process cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
• Upsell menu items to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including bussing tables and sanitation practices
• Ensure food safety standards are followed throughout service and food handling processes
• Assist with food prep, stocking supplies, and kitchen duties as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment
• Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve customers efficiently in a quick service or fast-food setting

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or retail environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and kitchen calculations
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
• Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards
• Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing, and food safety protocols is desirable
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed in a quick service or café setting
