Our client is a fully employee-owned multidisciplinary consulting firm providing expertise in environmental services, facilities, geotechnical engineering, and construction materials.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of engineering projects in facilities, materials, environmental, or geotechnical disciplines, ensuring safe completion on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Ensure projects are delivered according to contract specifications and monitor progress against project plans.
  • Identify operational issues, provide solutions, and minimize project delays.
  • Manage project resources, schedules, budgets, and forecasts, and coordinate with external vendors, contractors, or subcontractors.
  • Organize meetings and produce reports to communicate project status to team members and clients.
  • Prioritize tasks, assign responsibilities, and coordinate project personnel to achieve milestones and targets.
  • Maintain client communication and ensure deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and implement project plans to guide successful project execution.
  • Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with approved safety procedures.
  • Take proactive measures to resolve operational challenges and reduce delays.
  • Identify, allocate, and manage the resources necessary to complete projects, including preparing calculations, designs, specifications, schedules, budgets, and selecting equipment, materials, staff, or external contractors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to secure specialized resources for projects.
  • Coordinate with finance teams for budget tracking, invoicing, and collections.
  • Assess project-related risks and ensure adherence to company risk policies.
  • Foster a safe working environment and model safety best practices.
  • Promote pre-task planning and continuous quality improvement on all projects.
  • Ensure projects and proposals consistently meet established quality standards.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology, plus at least 5 years of related experience, or a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable record.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Professional registration such as PE (Professional Engineer), PG (Professional Geologist), or equivalent is preferred.
