Today, our platform empowers Employers to offer innovative benefits to employees—such as mobile phone service, auto and home insurance, and reduced rates on mortgages. We are also fully engaged in building a Communications Platform, heavily leveraging the latest in AI.

We continue to expand our team, and are looking for a highly motivated Backend Software Engineer.  We care much more about your aptitude, ability to pick up new technologies quickly, and your impact within a fast-growing start-up than anything else. The team is small, but growing, and moves quickly while enjoying what we do. You will be expected to adapt to business needs quickly from limited requirements. Not sure you check every box? Your Mission

• Make heavy use of AI Developer tools to write applications (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.)
• This is primarily a Backend Engineering position, with opportunities to also work on the Frontend for those who choose to
• Write high-quality applications for our member-facing Web Site, AI Comms Platform, Mobile Apps, Internal Apps, etc.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product and Design to make decisions about what the next experience should be, and how it should be built
• Write GraphQL and REST backend Web Services to quickly iterate on new ideas to provide new experiences to our Members
• Help build out our new AI Communications Platform, as well as our AI-driven Home and Auto Insurance product offering, Mortgage offering
• Be present in-office in Lehi (Thanksgiving Point) 5 days a week

Tech Stack

• Frontend: React, Flutter, Ferry, etc.
• Backend: REST, PostGREST, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Dart microservices, Redis, Postgraphile, GCP, Docker, etc.
• AI Tooling: Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.
• Dev Environment: New Macbooks, 40" curved monitors, standing desks

Minimum Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience (outside of any professional training)
• Must be a self-starter, often figuring things out that you have never done before, and maybe no one has done before
• Desire to work in a cross-functional team (product/design/eng)
• Experience with React is a plus, but not required... we will support you in learning it as long as you are eager to dive in.
• Must be an AI-first minded developer, both in the tools you use, and desire to integrate it into the product
