We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in east Columbus. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in apartment maintenance, property maintenance, building maintenance, and unit rehab who takes pride in quality work, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs for apartments, residential properties and commercial properties.
• Complete plumbing repairs, fixture replacements, and leak troubleshooting
• Perform light electrical work, including outlets, switches, and lighting repairs/replacements
• Conduct apartment rehabs, unit turns, and make-ready work
• Assist with preventive maintenance and routine inspections
• Identify maintenance issues, complete work orders, and ensure timely repairs
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
• All other duties as assigned

Pay & Compensation:

• Base hourly rate: $20.65/hour
• Vehicle use compensation: $3.35/hour
• Total wage: $24.00/hour
• Weekly schedule includes 45 hours
• 40 hours at regular pay
• 5 hours paid at time and a half (overtime)

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday
• 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• No weekends
• On-call rotation required

Probation & Benefits:

• This position includes a 90-day probationary period
• Paid Time Off (PTO) begins after the 90-day probation period
• PTO includes one week of vacation (45 regular hours) first year, two weeks thereafter
• Eligible for paid holidays after completion of the 90-day probation period
• Eligible to participate in 401(k) after 12 months of employment
• Eligible for Aflac insurance after 90 days, with options to itemize and purchase:

Requirements:

• Experience in maintenance technician, apartment maintenance, or property maintenance roles
• Knowledge of plumbing and light electrical required. HVAC basics, and appliance repair a plus.
• Experience with unit turns, make-readies, and apartment rehab
• Reliable transportation required (vehicle use compensated)
• Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
