The Law Office of Cohen & Jaffe, LLP, a dynamic and growing personal injury law firm based in western Long Island, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our team. Our firm represents victims who have been injured due to the negligence of others. We are looking for a dedicated attorney to play a key role in protecting our clients' rights.

The ideal candidate will have experience in personal injury law in New York, and will thrive in a collaborative environment. You will be supported by a team that includes a calendar clerk, receptionist, paralegals, legal assistants, and fellow associate attorneys. We also offer the opportunity for hybrid work flexibility.

With over 30 years of experience, our firm consists of six attorneys with deep roots in Long Island. We have built a strong reputation for our aggressive and effective representation of injured victims, combined with compassionate support throughout the legal process. Our practice handles a wide range of personal injury and wrongful death cases, including motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of plaintiff-side litigation, from client communication to case resolution
• Draft motions, handle discovery, attend court conferences, and participate in depositions
• Represent clients in court and negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and defense counsel
• Provide clear and timely legal advice to clients throughout the litigation process
• Collaborate with colleagues and staff to ensure efficient case management

Required Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York and in good standing
• At least 3 years of prior experience in personal injury law in New York
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities
• Ability to handle a caseload independently and effectively
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Must have reliable transportation

Salary: $110,000 - $145,000; lucrative incentive bonuses
