POSITION SUMMARY

Kelvion, one of the leading global manufacturers of heat exchangers is currently seeking to hire an innovative and dedicated Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for orchestrating efficient supply chains, ensuring seamless product delivery journeys. This role will oversee the regular cycle count program, year-end physical inventory, and over sees operations of warehouses regionally, to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Plans, assigns, and develops the necessary personnel under his/her direct responsibility, ensuring the correct application of tools and policies on training, career path and evaluations.
  • Predicting inventory demand and when it will be needed to meet customer and company expectations.
  • Working with suppliers to ensure adequate inventory and negotiate shipping rates with carriers.
  • Developing operational strategies, plans, and procedures, and leading a team.
  • Addressing delivery challenges and customer service issues and communicating and supporting customers at a senior level.
  • Maintaining compliance with corporate, state, and federal regulations, and managing quality control and quality assurance standard.
  • Managing and maintaining accurate inventory of product storage warehouses, and ensuring warehouses adhere to health and safety codes.
  • Providing oversight for budgetary, scheduling, and project databases, and reporting regularly to senior managers about progress, plans, and problems.
  • Organizes and coordinates activities and staff schedules, ensuring fulfillment goals are met and that shipments are timely, accurate, and undamaged.
  • Responsible for identifying, resolving, and finding the root cause of discrepancies and other related inventory errors.
  • Collaborates with managers and other departments to develop and modify materials handling processes and procedures.
  • Trains on procedures, including physical inventories, cycle count programs.
  • Collaborates with Manufacturing leadership on site and in region to ensure goals are met for production and shipment to the customer.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned by the VP of Supply Chain.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

  • Strong systems skills, including proficiency with integrated software applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of distribution and/or manufacturing workplaces
  • Must have strong leadership, motivational and training skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports

  • An analytical mind with strong math skills.

  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Ability to drive improvement to the bottom line daily, including meeting local and regional Kelvion goals for inventory accuracy and management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business administration, or related field (preferred) or comparable experience required.

  • Five plus years of experience working in inventory; preferably within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Five plus years direct supervisory experience.
  • Experience in managing a warehouse in a manufacturing environment, with multiple locations, preferred
  • Ability to operate a forklift machine and become certified under company requirements.
  • APICS or CPIM certification preferred.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP system mandatory, SAP preferred.
