Summary:
Responsible for Supervision of the Mold Engineering and Mold Sales department to create value added products by developing new designs and modifications that meet existing and future customer needs by managing resources to achieve high levels of customer service while meeting financial objectives and revenue growth plan of the departments

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs the Mold Engineering department to effectively utilize engineering resources to complete projects on time and implement new products and cost reduction ideas in to designs.
  • Utilizes resources at Techmatik, CMB and CME to meet engineering and sales objectives.
  • Collaborates with sales team to define project requirements and directs staff to complete them within time, cost, and quality specifications
  • Maintains a good rapport with other functional departments to ensure that solutions are comprehensive and efficient
  • Compiles department performance data and works with team to continuously improve.
  • Directs Mold Sales and sales activities
  • Maintains target margin on sales by conducing market research to set prices for major or strategic projects
  • Develops sales strategy by identifying short-term and long-range sales forecasts
  • Manages sales channel productivity by driving niche customer solutions and implementing programs to expand the sales pipeline
  • Creates and conducts customized technical sales presentations and proposals for customers
  • Improves Mold Manufacturing and Engineering safety, quality, and productivity
  • Maximizes productivity and consistency by using standards to improve existing solutions when possible
  • Fosters quality improvements by conducting design reviews and inspecting pre-released designs
  • Ensures a continuous line of communication between Mold Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs
  • Contributes to Mold research and development
  • Collaborates with sales and marketing teams to utilize current information on industry trends, and competitors products in the development of new equipment designs and modifications.
  • Directs Marketing to support product line
  • Prepares department budgets and sales forecast
  • Develop and continued training of Mold Engineers and Mold Sales Representatives
  • Travel 10-15%

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business preferred but can be waived for the right combination of experience
  • 5+ years management experience
  • 5 years Industry and product experience
  • Strong MS Office skills, Sugar, Lawson
