Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator with 10+ years of experience in both multifamily and commercial project estimating. This role requires strong technical acumen, proficiency with leading estimating platforms, and the ability to collaborate across preconstruction, project management, and executive teams.

You will own the estimating cycle from conceptual budgeting through final proposal submission.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, accurate electrical estimates for multifamily, commercial, and mixed-use construction projects.
• Perform comprehensive material takeoffs, labor calculations, and cost analyses.
• Interpret construction documents, including plans, specs, and addenda.
• Work directly with project managers, engineers, and leadership to develop bid strategies.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes to support competitive proposals.
• Prepare bid proposals, scope sheets, value-engineering options, and clarifications.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, RFIs, and project turnover reviews.
• Maintain estimating databases, labor units, and cost history for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical estimating experience in the construction industry.
• Proven expertise in multifamily and commercial electrical projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC, construction sequencing, and electrical installation methods.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar).
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines with precision.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; detail-oriented, methodical, and results-driven.

Preferred Qualifications

• Design-build estimating experience.
• Experience with BIM/3D model-based quantity reviews.
• Prior field experience as an electrician or project manager (highly valued).
