Job Summary:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading and optimizing the company's procurement and supply chain operations to ensure strategic, efficient, and cost-effective sourcing of materials and supplies. This role serves as a key business partner across departments, providing expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, inventory strategy, and process improvement to support organizational objectives and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and analytical professional with extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management. They will be adept at developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance, and driving cost savings initiatives while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to support business goals, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships; evaluate supplier performance using key metrics and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Oversee purchasing operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely fulfillment of material and service requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and align procurement strategies with production and operational needs.
• Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and supply chain risks to inform procurement decisions and ensure business continuity.

• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, including system enhancements, automation, and process optimization within the procurement function.
• Guide team members, promoting best practices and professional growth within the department.
• Prepare and present procurement reports, metrics, and analysis to management for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's or associate degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a field related experience; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
• Proven track record in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost reduction strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP or procurement systems.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence decision-making across departments.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement.
