The Greensburg YMCA is currently seeking a full-time Direct Support Professional for the daily care, training and supervision of persons with special needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support and training; hygiene skills, activities of daily living, socialization, and exercise
• Engage clients in creative activities
• Participate in community outings and events
• Follow and implement support plans
• Transport with company vehicle as program needs dictate
• Professional effective communication with individuals, co-workers, and supports
• Record keeping and other documentation as required

• Prefer one year of experience working with Individuals who have Developmental Disabilities, however we are willing to train.
• The equivalent combination of experience and training working with Individuals who have Developmental Disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI clearances, pre-employment physical, and a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-2:30pm. Full Time hours. No weekends or holidays. Training provided.
