Financial Controller

Controller

The Controller manages all financial oversight of plant operations to include financial planning, performance analysis and reporting, preparation of monthly and annual P & L statements, balance sheets, general ledger and cost accounting activities; capital and operating budget development and statutory reporting for the plant.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial and accounting functions to include general ledger, financial planning, budgeting, capital investments, accounts payable and receivable, management information systems, and cost accounting
• Support new business launches and provide required support to Sales and Engineering personnel in quotations on new or existing products.
• Ensure ERP system is operational and accurate to provide correct financial reporting data, assuring that production reporting and scrap reporting is accurate.
• Oversee preparation of all necessary Division financial reports
• Prepare reporting systems for other departments' budgets and all required financial information on a monthly and annual basis
• Lead the preparation of quarterly forecasts, tax packages, property tax and sales and use tax
• Provide ongoing training and coaching to employees to ensure proper communication and adherence to all company procedures, policies, rules, and standard work instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field of study; or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years supervisory experience with an ability to lead, guide, and motivate employees
• 5+ years related experience, understanding of Accounting concepts and methodologies, including inventory control, budgeting, cost accounting, financial reporting, and forecasting
• Certified Public Accountant preferred
