Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy and Campaign Support

  • Support the execution of overall corporate marketing strategies and objectives.
  • Assist with advertising plan and strategy implementation.
  • Participate in market research and compile findings to support campaign planning.
  • Assist in the development of external and internal communications strategies, associated plans, and key messages.
  • Track, record, and compile the results of marketing initiatives; support the VP of Marketing with recommendations and reporting.
  • Assist in identifying and testing emerging marketing and AI-enabled tools to improve research, productivity, and campaign execution.

Event and Trade Show Support

  • Support the coordination and execution of trade shows and marketing events, including logistics, deliverables, and post-event follow-up.
  • Assist with event campaigns in Salesforce, including lead entry, tracking, and report preparation.

CRM, Email Marketing, and Data Management

  • Assist with maintaining company contact databases in Salesforce and other platforms to support targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Support email marketing initiatives and campaigns using Constant Contact, Business Wire, or other subscribed tools, ensuring data accuracy, list segmentation, and performance tracking.
  • Assist with pulling data from marketing intelligence tools and compiling insights for the VP and team to support sales strategies and targeting.
  • Provide simple AI-assisted market insight summaries as directed, to help marketing and sales stay aligned on trends and customer needs.
  • Gather insights from modern marketing intelligence tools (e.g., Semrush, Similarweb, AlphaSense, Perplexity AI, or comparable platforms) to support market awareness and internal reporting.

Marketing Collateral and Content Management

  • Update and maintain all marketing collateral across digital and physical channels to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support the execution of the social media strategy developed by the VP of Marketing, coordinating with the graphic designer on creative assets and assisting with performance tracking and reporting.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure collateral reflects current branding and messaging.
  • Manage promotional material inventory with third-party vendors, including ordering, restocking, and logistics.

Website Coordination

  • Supporting the routing and review of all company website content updates to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Coordinate with the external webmaster to support web development, maintenance, SEO, creative updates, tracking, and reporting activities.

SharePoint and Content Organization

  • Maintain and update Marketing-owned SharePoint sites, ensuring content is current, organized, version-controlled, and easily accessible to internal teams.

Reporting, Budget, and Administrative Support

  • Assist in tracking the marketing budget and preparing reports as needed.
  • Create and process departmental expense reports.
  • Assist with monthly marketing performance reports for executive leadership.
  • Maintain and organize marketing files and shared drives.
  • Monitor and manage marketing-owned Outlook mailboxes, ensuring timely routing of actions and follow-ups.
  • Perform day-to-day administrative functions to support marketing operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong grammar, tone, and clarity; able to support content creation without overreliance on AI.
  • Strong time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • High efficiency, productivity, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Strong digital literacy and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Interest in applying AI tools to support and improve workflows.
  • Curiosity and initiative to learn and apply new marketing and AI-enabled tools.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles, brand voice, and audience targeting.
  • Ability to track performance metrics and support reporting.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities and fast-paced environments.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with AI platforms for content support, marketing automation, and analytics.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM.
  • Basic graphic design skills using Canva or similar tools.
  • Basic video editing skills using entry-level or professional platforms.
  • Experience with marketing automation or email platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, Mailchimp).
  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools.
  • Experience supporting trade show logistics or event marketing.
  • Comfortable testing new tools and supporting process improvements.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint site maintenance and file management best practices.
  • Experience helping to manage marketing calendars and coordinating deliverables.
  • Creative and resourceful approach to supporting marketing initiatives.
  • Exposure to marketing intelligence platforms (e.g., Semrush, Similarweb, AlphaSense, or similar) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted research platforms (e.g., Perplexity AI, Notion AI) is a plus.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant marketing experience.
  • Familiarity with B2B or aerospace/defense marketing is a plus but not required.
  • Experience or coursework using digital marketing or AI-assisted research tools preferred.
