From our roots in South Tyrol to our growing presence across Europe and North America, we design the most innovative and reliable charging solutions on the market. Our teams in Bolzano/Bozen, Bergamo, Bologna, Munich, and Charlotte are shaping the future of e-mobility infrastructure with world-class engineering, industry-defining standards, and unmatched product performance.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Hardware Analysis Engineer
who has
direct, hands-on experience
with power electronics equipment—not just academic exposure. This role requires someone who can independently diagnose, test, and resolve complex hardware issues in a high-power environment.

This is not an R&D design-only role, nor a purely theoretical analysis role. It demands practical repair experience, hardware ownership, and comfort working with high-power systems in a lab environment.

Pre-Screening Note (Read Before Applying)

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet
all
of the following minimum requirements:

Hands-on experience
working directly with power electronics (inverters, converters, high-voltage or high-current systems)

Ability to troubleshoot down to
component level
using oscilloscopes, meters, and diagnostic tools

Demonstrated experience in
hardware failure analysis
(not software, not PCB layout-only, not solely test engineering)

Authorization to work in the United States
without sponsorship now or in the future

Candidates lacking these specific experiences will not move forward in the hiring process.

What You'll Do

Technical Analysis & Repair

  • Execute and document repairs and analyses for
    field returns and production units
  • Perform deep-dive failure analyses to identify root causes of electronic, component, or system-level issues
  • Design and run tests to
    replicate failure modes
    and confirm corrective actions
  • Provide data-driven proposals for corrective or preventive measures

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with
R&D, Production, Logistics, Quality, and Service
    teams
  • Directly support customer-facing analysis and technical communication
  • Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Process Ownership

  • Ensure analysis activities are completed
    accurately and on schedule
  • Maintain structured documentation of failures, test results, and recommendations
  • Evaluate trends and support continuous improvement through risk assessments and statistical analysis

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree
in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience with
    failure analysis methodologies
    (FMEA, 8D, RCA)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently with high levels of ownership

Required Technical Skills

  • Extensive hands-on
    experience with power electronics
  • (e.g., inverters, converters, motor drives, high-voltage systems)
  • Ability to repair, test, and diagnose electronic assemblies and components
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, and hardware test setups

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in
    quality control or manufacturing
    environments
  • Background in power electronics development or reliability engineering
  • Familiarity with analyzing statistical trends and failure patterns
