ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an Environmental Scientist to support engineering projects with a focus on permitting, water resources, and construction compliance. This role combines fieldwork, environmental assessments, and regulatory documentation while working closely with engineers, clients, and regulatory agencies.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Conduct field investigations (wetland delineations, stream assessments, habitat surveys).
• Prepare environmental permit applications (USACE, state stormwater, NPDES, etc.).
• Support water resources and stormwater compliance on design and construction projects.
• Perform construction site inspections for erosion, sediment, and environmental compliance.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for permitting and regulatory submittals.

Requirements

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental permitting, water resources, or construction compliance (consulting experience preferred).
• Knowledge of NEPA, Clean Water Act, stormwater regulations, and related environmental laws.
• Strong technical writing, GIS, and data analysis skills.
• Willingness to travel and perform outdoor fieldwork.
