Join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas, as a Material Handler! We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to manage the movement and organization of materials within our busy warehouse. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other heavy equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring accurate inventory placement. This role is key to our logistics operations, requiring efficiency, precision, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from shipping and receiving docks.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the facility.
- Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on proper lifting techniques.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Support the overall efficiency of our logistics and supply chain operations.
- Participate in regular safety training and actively contribute to a culture of safety.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Material Handler in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated proficiency with various equipment.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 60 lbs frequently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control systems.
- Proven commitment to safety regulations and the consistent use of PPE.
- Excellent physical condition, stamina, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
