We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage our warehouse operations in Houston, Texas. This leadership role requires excellent organizational skills, a keen understanding of warehouse management systems, and the ability to manage a team effectively. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of warehouse activities, from receiving and inventory control to order fulfillment and shipping. Your role is critical in optimizing our Logistics processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and the highest standards of workplace Safety . Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Oversee the scheduling and workload of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.
- Implement and enforce all warehouse safety procedures and regulations, ensuring compliance with PPE requirements.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, and ensure their proper maintenance.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments and external vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Train new staff members on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Logistics .
- Proficiency with warehouse management software (WMS).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices, including the use of PPE .
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; higher education or certifications are a plus.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
