Join our dedicated team as a Warehouse Coordinator in Des Moines, Iowa! In this key role, you will oversee and coordinate a variety of daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety within our logistics hub. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory levels, coordinating receiving and shipping activities, supervising warehouse staff, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. You will play a crucial part in optimizing warehouse workflow and contributing to the overall success of our distribution efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management best practices. This role involves significant interaction with staff and requires the ability to effectively problem-solve and make informed decisions. While not solely a physical role, some lifting may be required, up to 40 pounds. A commitment to safety is paramount, and you will ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Experience in logistics or supply chain management is highly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping.
- Manage inventory accuracy and oversee cycle counting processes.
- Supervise and direct warehouse associates, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure efficient space utilization and organization of the warehouse.
- Implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational efficiency.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with staff training and development.
