Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our Columbus, Ohio location! As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the movement of goods within our distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be to operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials, load and unload trucks, and assist with inventory management. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
- Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and organizing stock.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve operational goals.
- Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment and their proper use.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
