We are seeking a reliable Receiving Clerk for our warehouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position is the first point of contact for all incoming goods, playing a vital role in ensuring that received items are accurately documented, inspected, and processed. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, and accurately entering received data into our inventory system. A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient receiving process are essential. You will work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure a seamless flow of inventory into the facility. This role requires physical capability for tasks involving some Lifting and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect all incoming items for damage or quantity discrepancies.
- Accurately record received inventory in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to Safety protocols.
- Ensure proper use of all required PPE .
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Support the overall logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate receiving.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
