We are hiring an Order Picker for our San Antonio, Texas distribution center. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your primary focus will be on locating specific products, ensuring the correct quantities are picked, and preparing them for the packing and shipping stages. Attention to detail and a methodical approach are key to minimizing errors and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position is a cornerstone of our logistics operations, directly impacting the speed and accuracy of order fulfillment. We are deeply committed to workplace Safety, and all employees are required to follow established protocols and wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. The role involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, and Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists or electronic pick tickets.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Safety guidelines.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or damaged items immediately.
- Follow all company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation as required.
- Contribute to overall team efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and perform frequent Lifting throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Basic understanding of inventory control and logistics principles.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
