We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Miami, Florida. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary goal will be to ensure the efficient and safe flow of goods within our distribution center, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of materials and products. Precision and attention to detail are crucial to prevent damage to goods and equipment. This position requires a commitment to safety protocols and adherence to all company policies and procedures. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials and products within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Stack and store inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies regarding forklift operation and warehouse procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to strict PPE requirements at all times.
- Be prepared for lifting tasks as part of the overall warehouse operations.
- Support the broader logistics team in achieving operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
