We are looking for a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our bustling logistics team in New York City, New York. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the movement, organization, and tracking of materials within our warehouse facility. Your duties will encompass receiving incoming shipments, accurately stocking inventory, picking and preparing orders, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout our logistics network. This position requires a strong focus on efficiency, accuracy, and safety. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing physical tasks, including frequent lifting (up to 60 pounds), standing, walking, and bending throughout their shift. A thorough understanding and strict adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are mandatory. Experience with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and potentially forklifts is a significant advantage. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and unload materials from incoming shipments.
- Sort, count, and verify received goods against documentation.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Pick and stage materials for outgoing orders and production.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Operate various material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Comply with all safety rules and wear required PPE.
