We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is crucial in maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse, ensuring timely order fulfillment and inventory accuracy. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be operating various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to transport raw materials, finished products, and other goods. Responsibilities also include performing routine checks on forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working order and reporting any maintenance issues immediately. Adherence to all company safety guidelines and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is paramount. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation and a good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Strong communication skills are needed to coordinate with other team members and supervisors. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and unstack palletized materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical soundness and safety.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
