We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our state-of-the-art warehouse facility. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all loading and unloading processes are completed accurately and on time, contributing directly to our operational success. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations is paramount. This position requires individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and possess excellent hand-eye coordination. We value a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact operations. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential for success in this role. Your primary focus will be on the safe and efficient movement of materials, ensuring product integrity throughout the handling process.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE .
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting when required, up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Excellent understanding of Safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
