Join our thriving Logistics team in Detroit, Michigan as a skilled Forklift Operator. We are looking for an experienced individual to manage the movement of goods within our warehouse efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all company Safety policies are top priorities. You will be required to wear all necessary PPE at all times. This role involves significant Lifting and requires physical dexterity and a strong focus on operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of forklifts.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Assist with inventory control and stocktaking.
- Strictly adhere to all company Safety regulations and wear designated PPE .
- Support the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations, involving considerable Lifting and material handling.
- Valid forklift certification and proven operating experience.
- Ability to perform significant Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and safe material handling practices.
- Strong understanding of Logistics procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of workplace Safety .
- Familiarity with and adherence to PPE requirements.
