We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Washington, D.C. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring that our clients receive their products accurately and on time. Your primary duties will involve navigating the warehouse using an order sheet or scanning device to locate and retrieve specified items. You will meticulously check item numbers and quantities against the order to minimize errors. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is also a key responsibility to ensure smooth operations and safety. This position requires adherence to all warehouse safety protocols and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Regular lifting of items up to 50 pounds will be necessary. The ideal candidate possesses excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or RF scanner.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package selected items securely for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking role preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and PPE.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards in all aspects of logistics.
