We are seeking meticulous Picker/Packers to join our team in San Francisco, California. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient retrieval and packaging of customer orders. Your attention to detail directly impacts customer satisfaction and the smooth flow of our Logistics operations. We maintain a high standard of Safety, and all team members are expected to adhere to strict protocols and utilize all required PPE. This position involves regular Lifting and physical activity.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick items from warehouse shelves based on order requirements, using scanning technology.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or discrepancies before proceeding to packaging.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and efficiently pack orders to ensure product protection during transit.
- Verify order details for accuracy before sealing and labeling packages.
- Apply shipping labels and any other required documentation correctly.
- Stage packed orders in designated areas for carrier pickup, ensuring organized workflow.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, free from hazards and obstructions.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and inventory management tasks as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks to transport goods within the facility.
- Contribute to meeting performance targets for accuracy and productivity within our Logistics department.
- Ensure all actions comply with company standards and the proper use of required PPE.
- Regularly engage in tasks that require Lifting of products and boxes, up to 35 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a picking, packing, or order fulfillment role is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand-held scanners and basic computer systems.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and Logistics flow.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Physical capacity to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and perform moderate Lifting repeatedly.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment and following all guidelines.
- Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE.
