Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity? We have an immediate opening in our Durham, North Carolina facility! This role is critical for managing the movement of goods within our warehouse, ensuring efficient operations and inventory accuracy. You will operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials, playing a key part in our Logistics chain. A strong focus on Safety and adherence to all protocols, including the use of PPE, is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and proficiently to move, stack, and unstack pallets of goods.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of cargo.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues immediately.
- Transport materials to and from various points within the warehouse and distribution center.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and put-away processes.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and Logistics.
- Engage in tasks requiring significant Lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Participate in all required Safety training and maintain awareness of potential hazards.
- Ensure all movements are conducted with the highest regard for Safety and operational integrity.
- Utilize proper PPE at all times while operating equipment or in designated areas.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA certification).
- Proven ability to perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of Logistics operations and inventory control.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and perform other physical demands associated with the role, including repetitive motions and prolonged standing.
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE.
