We are looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Clerk to join our team in Washington, D.C. This role is critical for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. You will be responsible for maintaining stock levels, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and managing inventory data. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within our **logistics** framework. A commitment to **safety** and proper handling of materials is essential, and you will be required to use appropriate **PPE**. Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Process stock adjustments, transfers, and returns.
- Monitor stock levels and report on reorder points.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of new inventory.
- Ensure proper labeling and organization of inventory items.
- Adhere to all **safety** policies and procedures, including the proper use of **PPE**.
- Support **Lifting** and moving of inventory items, typically up to 30 lbs.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient **logistics** flow.
- Generate reports on inventory status and movement.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory management role.
Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and data entry skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Understanding of warehouse **safety** practices and the use of **PPE**.
Familiarity with **logistics** operations. Occasional **Lifting** up to 30 lbs.
