We are seeking a motivated and reliable Distribution Center Associate to join our dynamic team in San Antonio, Texas. This role is crucial to our overall logistics operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods from receipt to dispatch. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth running of the warehouse, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount in this position. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be a team player. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
