We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing orders for shipment. Your primary duties will involve navigating the warehouse efficiently, identifying correct items using our inventory system, and ensuring the quality and quantity of picked goods. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy to maintain our high standards of order fulfillment. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely order processing. Understanding and adhering to all safety protocols is paramount. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess good communication skills. Experience with RF scanners is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and assemble customer orders based on pick tickets or order sheets.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and descriptions against orders.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Ensure efficient workflow to meet daily picking targets.
- Understand and follow all instructions regarding lifting and material handling.
