Our Distribution Center in Washington, D.C. is looking for motivated and reliable Distribution Center Associates to join our growing team. As a vital member of our warehouse operations, you will be involved in various aspects of the distribution process, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. This role is dynamic and requires a proactive approach to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict safety procedures, and utilizing warehouse equipment safely and effectively. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within the logistics industry and be part of a company that values teamwork and dedication. We emphasize the importance of safety and expect all associates to be vigilant in following guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Your physical stamina and commitment to quality will be key to success in this role, including the ability to handle tasks requiring significant Lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with inventory management.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including regular Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
