We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our bustling warehouse in Minneapolis, Minnesota! In this critical role, you will ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. You will operate various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport inventory, and assist with warehousing duties. A strong commitment to safety, precision in operation, and a solid understanding of warehouse logistics are essential. We prioritize a secure working environment and provide thorough training, but prior experience is highly valued. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment and adhering to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE. Your work directly impacts the efficiency and success of our distribution operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials safely.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with efficiency and care.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage locations.
- Perform pre-shift inspections on forklift equipment and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure proper use of all required PPE.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to optimize workflow and logistics.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Ability to operate multiple types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and logistics best practices.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Ability to stand, sit, and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and reaction time.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Reliable attendance and a professional demeanor.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
