Job Summary:
Opportunity awaits at our Washington, D.C. facility for a skilled Warehouse Technician! This dynamic role involves the maintenance, repair, and operational support of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. You will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our logistics center, handling tasks ranging from equipment troubleshooting to preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, a problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to workplace safety. Your responsibilities will include inspecting and servicing forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems, and other warehouse machinery. You will also be involved in minor repairs and coordinating with external vendors for specialized maintenance. Upholding strict safety standards is a top priority, and you will be expected to use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position may involve lifting heavy components and working in various warehouse environments. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Conduct minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently when necessary.
  • Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role within a warehouse or logistics setting.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repair of various types of machinery.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Commitment to safety and knowledge of PPE.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
