Provo, Utah is looking for a diligent and physically capable Material Handler to support our expanding logistics operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse. This includes operating various types of material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. A strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to lift heavy items are critical for this role. We are committed to maintaining a secure and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials.
- Load and unload goods from incoming and outgoing trucks.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipment counts and accuracy.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to established protocols.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, emphasizing correct lifting techniques.
- Ensure proper use of all required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics supply chain.
- Actively participate in all safety training and promote a proactive safety culture.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role required.
- Valid forklift certification and demonstrated ability to operate related equipment.
- Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Good understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory procedures.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Excellent physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
