We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our busy warehouse in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments. This position is critical to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring that our supply chain runs smoothly. You will work closely with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams to manage the flow of goods into our facility. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Unload trucks using pallet jacks or other equipment as needed.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding shipment status and issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow proper Lifting techniques to ensure personal safety and prevent product damage.
- Ensure all logistics documentation is complete and accurate.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as directed.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards in the receiving area.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk, Warehouse Assistant, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Must be reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to safety and proper PPE usage.
