Join our team as a Material Handler in our Jacksonville, Florida logistics hub! We are seeking individuals with a strong work ethic and a keen eye for efficiency to manage the flow of goods within our warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for various stages of the supply chain, including receiving, storage, and shipping. This role is critical for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the operational efficiency of our distribution center. Safety is paramount in our operations; therefore, you will be expected to rigorously follow all safety protocols and utilize the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves substantial physical activity, including frequent Lifting, carrying, and operating warehouse equipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and stock materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including staging and loading.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and the correct use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role required.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting and moving of heavy items (up to 50-75 pounds).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to a safe and efficient logistics operation.
