Our Richmond, Virginia facility is seeking a diligent Picker/Packer to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of customer orders for shipment. You will meticulously select items from inventory and package them with care, contributing directly to the efficiency and reliability of our logistics network. If you have a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve specific items and quantities from warehouse shelves based on order requirements.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order tickets to ensure accuracy.
- Package products carefully into appropriate shipping boxes, ensuring adequate protection.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch to carriers.
- Maintain an orderly and clean workstation and warehouse environment.
- Follow all company Safety procedures and guidelines, including the appropriate use of PPE .
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks and pallet jacks, safely.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor.
- Must be capable of regular manual Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking, packing, or general warehouse work is preferred.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics workflows.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in fulfilling orders.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all PPE requirements.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and perform frequent Lifting .
- Good communication and teamwork capabilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
