We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics hub in Los Angeles, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the efficient movement of goods throughout our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include safely operating forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials and products. This position requires a high degree of precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to Safety. You will be responsible for pre-operation checks of the forklift, maintaining it in good working order, and ensuring that all loads are transported securely. Adherence to all company Safety policies and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is paramount. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of our supply chain operations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and balanced before transport.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all Safety regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Follow all traffic and pedestrian Safety rules within the facility.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional Lifting.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material handling processes.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to wearing and using all required PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
