Responsibilities
You will learn to apply engineering principles to all stages of the software development process, from requirements through analysis and design, development, implementation, integration and verification. In parallel with the academic aspects of the scheme, you will be assigned to projects where you will gain the specific software engineering competence and skills applicable to the complex display and control systems designed and manufactured by BAE Systems, Electronic Systems at Rochester. As you progress through the scheme, your work will become more challenging with greater responsibility, with the end goal of leaving the scheme as a qualified Software Engineer. Qualifications
5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A-C, which must include Maths, English and a Science/Technical Subject, and 1 of the following: 3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above. One subject must be Maths and one subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject, or an equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points).
