Blazing Stars Montessori School is hiring

Blazing Stars Montessori School in Dade City, FL is seeking caring, nurturing and enthusiastic Assistant Guides for our Primary (ages 3-6) and Lower Elementary (1st-3rd grade) communities. We have many opportunities for growth within our organization, including Montessori training and certification for high-performing assistants. Additionally, there will be opportunities to grow into a role as a Lead Guide and/or School Leader. Duties:

As an Assistant Teacher, you will be a critical member of our school community, supporting the maintenance of the Montessori prepared environment and reinforcing Montessori's philosophy of whole child education.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing the environment, including caring for and repairing curricular materials and supplies
• Monitoring students and supporting positive classroom behaviors
• Supporting with all aspects of the daily routine, including student learning, supervising lunch in the classrooms, leading activities during P.E./recess, custodial support and nap time
• Observing children, completing documentation and sharing questions and observations with teacher leaders
• Initiating growth and change in your own intellectual and professional development by participating in opportunities for professional growth and learning
• Completing other duties as requested
• Following all safety and emergency procedures as well as emergency response procedures in case of emergency
• Observing all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• At least one year experience working with children
• Bilingual strongly preferred
• Must possess a valid CPR & First Aid certificate (required or willing to obtain one within 30 days of employment)
• Must possess required DCF 40 Hours (required or willing to obtain one within 30-60 days of employment)
• Must have a valid driver's license with no restrictions or driving record required

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $ $17.00 per hour
