Experienced Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' social engagement.
• Monitor and document vital signs, changes in health status, and report any concerns to healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Support clients with mobility challenges using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Engage in patient observation to identify changes in behavior or health conditions.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or developmental disabilities.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, assisted living, or nursing homes is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse populations, including those with autism or other disabilities.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs.
• Experience in meal preparation and cooking for individuals with specific dietary requirements is an asset.
