About the Role

Position: Behavioral Support Specialist – Children & Families (RBT/Behavior Technician)
Settings: Home, school, and community environments
Status: Part-time, hourly

True Care Behavioral Solutions Inc. is growing, and we're looking for experienced Behavior Technicians who are passionate about supporting children with autism and developmental differences. We value clinical quality, teamwork, and positive collaboration with families.

What You'll Do

As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you'll provide 1:1 ABA therapy and help children build skills that truly change their day-to-day lives. Under the guidance of a BCBA, you will:

  • Daily living skills and independence
  • Collaborate professionally with families, school staff, and your BCBA supervisor
  • Assist in progress updates and ongoing treatment planning

You'll never be "on your own" — you'll have a BCBA and team behind you.

What Makes This Role Different

At True Care, we take care of the people who take care of our families:

  • We respect experienced staff — your voice and feedback matter
  • Supportive BCBAs who are accessible and involved
  • Flexible scheduling to help balance work, school, family, and life
  • A team culture that communicates, teaches, and uplifts
  • Clear growth pathways into RBT, Senior BT, Case Manager, or BCBA roles

Preferred Background

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 1+ year of experience providing ABA therapy or working with individuals with autism
  • Familiarity with reinforcement, prompting strategies, and data collection
  • Comfort working in home or school environments
  • Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Willingness to complete training if applying as a BT
  • Able to pass Live Scan, background check, and TB screening
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and car insurance

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Comfortable moving between floor and seated positions
  • Able to assume and maintain various postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods
  • Willing to sit on the floor for extended periods
  • Willing to work in a variety of environments: home, school, center, and community settings
  • Willing to drive within an agreed-upon mile radius for client sessions

Schedule & Hours

  • Part-time, hourly
  • Hours vary based on client needs and your availability
  • Afternoon and evening availability is especially helpful
