Role Overview

We are looking for a backend developer to architect, develop, and maintain robust, scalable systems that power our growing platform. You will own critical system components, work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams, maintain production reliability, and drive continuous architectural improvements. This role requires expertise in Golang and Java, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for building systems that support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop backend systems, taking full ownership of module implementation from concept to deployment
  • Engage in early requirement discussions to understand business logic and system architecture, then design, build, and test features that align with product goals—including documentation of technical specifications
  • Maintain high code standards through rigorous unit testing while identifying opportunities to boost development velocity
  • Own the release cycle and production deployments; maintain operational stability through proactive monitoring, alerting, and rapid incident response
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and iteratively optimize existing infrastructure to deliver scalable, fault-tolerant, low-latency services that meet evolving business demands
  • Lead technical planning and drive architectural evolution across systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline with strong CS fundamentals
  • 3-5 years of hands-on software engineering experience
  • Expert-level proficiency in Golang or Java with practical knowledge of industry-standard development frameworks and testing tools; solid experience with MySQL, Kafka, Redis, and similar middleware, including performance tuning and architectural best practices
  • Excellent coding fundamentals, adherence to clean code principles, and comprehensive understanding of technical stack and system design
  • Prior work on high-traffic, high-performance systems or experience building middleware/platform infrastructure strongly preferred
  • Background in polyglot development and consumer/business product engineering is a plus
  • Strong operational mindset with emphasis on risk mitigation; proactive in spotting potential issues and skilled in debugging production incidents
  • Meticulous attention to detail, self-motivated, enthusiastic about technology, with outstanding collaboration and communication skills; thrives in fast-paced environments
  • Quick learner with strong analytical thinking, ability to break down complex challenges into manageable solutions, and skill in producing comprehensive technical documentation
  • Business-savvy mindset; able to collaborate effectively with product managers and operations to iterate rapidly and improve core business KPIs
