Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and lead generation strategies within assigned territories.
- Develop and execute effective sales plans to meet or exceed sales targets in B2B (business-to-business) markets.
- Manage existing accounts by providing exceptional customer service, conducting product demos, and upselling solutions that meet client needs.
- Conduct detailed territory management to optimize coverage, track market trends, and analyze competitor activities.
- Present product features and technical solutions clearly to clients, demonstrating value through compelling product demonstrations.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals efficiently while maintaining profitability.
- Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track sales activities, update client information, and generate reports for management review.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop strategies that enhance brand visibility and support lead generation efforts.
- Maintain ongoing communication with inside sales teams to ensure seamless customer experience from initial contact through post-sale support.
Skills
- Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or management roles with a focus on B2B sales environments.
- Strong knowledge of territory management, lead generation techniques, and direct sales processes.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for tracking sales activities and managing customer relationships.
- Ability to conduct engaging product demos and technical sales presentations tailored to client needs.
- Skilled in analysis to identify market opportunities and develop strategic plans for growth.
- Effective communication skills for cold calling, inside sales coordination, and building rapport with diverse clients.
- Experience in retail or technology sales is a plus; familiarity with marketing strategies enhances outreach efforts.
